Pill is a village on the southern bank of the Avon, across the river from Shirehampton. Easton-in-Gordano and Ham Green are nearby and Portishead is about four miles away along the A369.
There are local convenience shops and a post office.
Property is varied, with housing from many different eras – Victorian terraces; 1930s semis; small, modern developments; and large, detached homes.
It’s easily commutable to Bristol via the A369 – there’s a regular bus service or the cycleway along the River Avon. It has excellent transport links as it’s close to the M5 (J19) motorway.
Pill marks the start of the cycleway which also takes in Clevedon, Weston-Super-Mare and beyond.
