SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITIES
We’re lucky to live and work in the most amazing communities – our volunteer programme aims to give a little back.
A big part of what makes our communities so special is the hundreds of local groups, organisations and charities that support and enrich the lives of the people living in them.
We want to play an active part and make a difference – our volunteer programme gives our teams a chance to get out of the office and help at a local group or charity.
Below are a few of the organisations we’ve recently worked with. If your community could benefit from our volunteers, please get in touch.
Located at Hartcliffe City farm you'll find, a sustainable flower farm which is part of the Heart of BS13 charity programme.
Kitchen - We are creating long term solutions to food poverty in BS13, while supporting our community through the cost of living crisis.
Flower farm - We offer green education, training & volunteer opportunities at our sustainable flower farm at Hartcliffe City Farm.
Climate Action - We are committed to our community being part of the conversation about, and the solution to, the climate and ecological crisis.
We helped out in their beautiful flower garden by expanding some of their flower beds and picking and preparing some flowers for drying. We learned a lot about sustainable flower production, and the Community Kitchen.
Bristol ARC
We had a fantastic time creating enrichment toys for the cats and dogs at the centre! It was heart warming for us to see how much joy these toys brought to the animals. We also got to hear the fascinating history of the centre and learn about its incredible growth over the years.
They run plenty of events throughout the year and have opportunities for volunteering.
Most importantly, they have lots of lovely animals that need a loving, forever home.
Square Food Foundation
We visited Square Food Foundation. They are an amazing charity that focus on providing cookery classes to people of all ages and abilities with the aim of improving health, reducing hunger and bringing people together.
Our volunteers split into two groups each making a different dish, a mac and cheese with Cavallo Nero and a chicken, and a bacon and mushroom pie. We set out to make 50 dishes for local charities and organisations but we managed to make over 100!
Alive. Lighting up later life
Our volunteers went along to Alive, at their allotments in Brislington.
