Avonmouth is a large, busy port in an industrialised zone, based around the M5.
But theres also Avonmouth Village. Technically an outer suburb, its based just off The Portway (A4) and lies on the banks of the River Avon. This is a family area, with a mix of Victorian terraces and 1930/50s houses, as well as a few modern builds.
There are some local shops and Shirehampton High Street is walkable. There are also regular public transport links to the city centre, including the hourly train service to central Bristol from Avonmouth station on the Severn Beach Line.
