Laid out over the first and second floors of this Edwardian terrace, the landing links every space together. The living room is at the front and spans the width of the front of the property. With original floorboards, a gorgeous fireplace and sash windows in the bay, there is character everywhere in this spacious lounge area. The kitchen is at the back of the flat and features a bench seat in one corner while the kitchen itself has an integrated washing machine and oven/hob plus spaces for a dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
The main bedroom is on the second floor. Filled with natural light thanks to two velux windows and a dormer window, there are more original floorboards and lots of storage in the eaves while bedroom two is another generous double room on the first floor. With an ornate feature fireplace and an original sash window bringing in plenty of natural light, this could easily be the main bedroom if needed. Completing the space is the bathroom which has a suite including a shower over the bath which is surrounded by metro tiling that fits perfectly with the house.
Outside
Currently a leafy yet low maintenance space, the front garden is owned by the maisonette and so offers a place to get stuck in for those with green thumbs! With perennial plants keeping the garden green year round, there is space to add bike storage if required.
Location
"This has been a magical place to start our family. It’s a stones throw from the amazing Hillcrest Primary School, which has guaranteed our children a place there. They’ve loved burning off excess energy at the expansive Perretts Park every day and growing strawberries at our allotment around the corner. The kindness and community on the street is like nothing we’ve ever experienced and we feel so at home here. This flat is incredibly peaceful, despite being so close to all the action on Wells Road (Bruhaha and Fox and West are two favourites of ours). We’ve gazed out at amazing sunsets over the hills through the living room window and have enjoyed cultivating the front garden, which comes with the flat.
It’s like a little village, with all that Bristol has to offer right on our doorstep. We know that whoever calls this place their home after us will feel equally fortunate."
We think...
Enjoying more space than many of the houses in nearby Totterdown and Victoria Park, there is lots to love about this property!
