Charlton Hayes is next to Patchway, just off Gloucester Road North (A38). Other nearby areas include Little Stoke, Bradley Stoke and Stoke Gifford.
It’s a development of new build homes built by various developers. They range from two-bedroom starter homes to large, four-bedroom family houses. There’s a new bypass, Hayes Way, linking the A38 with the Mall at Cribbs Causeway.
There are many major local employers in the area, including Rolls Royce, Royal Mail, Airbus, BAE and the MoD at Abbeywood. Aztec West Business Park, home to over 100 companies, is also nearby.
Commuting to the city is direct by car or public transport – the centre is around six miles south. The Almondsbury Interchange, linking the M5 and the M4, is moments away, and the M32 is also easily accessible. For trains, Bristol Parkway is a mile or so away at Stoke Gifford.
There are local amenities at Patchway. Or just a few minutes’ drive away at Cribbs Causeway, a retail and leisure complex made up of The Mall, a shopping centre with over 130 shops; The Venue, which has a multi-screen cinema, bowling alley, gym and restaurants; and a retail park.
