Patchway is just off Gloucester Road North (A38). It's near Little Stoke, Bradley Stoke and Stoke Gifford. Patchway used to be a small village centred on Patchway Green, now known as Patchway Common.
During the 1930s, new housing was built on Patchway Estate, just north of Filton Aerodrome, and bungalows were also built on Stoke Lane.
There are many major local employers in the area, including Rolls Royce, Royal Mail, Airbus, and the Ministry of Defence at Abbey Wood. There’s also Aztec West Business Park, home to over 100 companies.
Commuting to the city is direct by car or public transport. The city centre is around six miles south. The Almondsbury Interchange, linking the M5 and M4, is moments away and the M32 is also easily accessible. For trains, Bristol Parkway is a mile or so away at Stoke Gifford.
Patchway has some local amenities. Or Cribbs Causeway is a short drive away, a retail and leisure complex equipped with the Mall shopping centre (over 130 shops), The Venue, which has a multi-screen cinema, bowling alley, gym and restaurants, and a retail park.
