Knowle is about 1.5 miles south east of the city centre, along the Wells Road (A37) past Temple Meads and Totterdown. It's predominantly a residential area with lots of green space nearby.
There's a mix of property, including lots of Victorian and Edwardian terraces; some of these are very grand with excellent views. There's a number of 1930s and 50s houses, too.
Fewer young professionals have ventured this far up Wells Road than nearby Totterdown, but it's still a mixed neighbourhood with lots of young families.
The Broadwalk is just past Ocean’s office, a tree-lined boulevard that heads westwards towards Filwood, via Redcatch Park. Broadwalk Shopping Centre is also in the area.
There are direct links, via the Wells Road, to the city centre, Temple Meads and the M32. There are also frequent buses. Many cycle into the city from Knowle, too.
