Totterdown

Totterdown is just south of the River Avon, Temple Meads station and the city centre. Built in the mid to late nineteenth century to house workers for the nearby railway industry, Totterdown has become a very popular area, for good reason.

Wells Road runs north to south through Knowle from Totterdown to Whitchurch. Temple Meads is a short walk, or cycle away, and several buses connect the area with the city centre. The M32 is easy to get to.

Properties are mainly Victorian and Edwardian terraced houses, some of which have now been brightly painted and lovingly maintained by the residents. There's a good choice of converted flats too.

Totterdown has a mix of independent shops on Wells Road. The area has plenty of parks, such as Victoria Park, on the border with Bedminster.
