Hotwells is below Clifton Village, on the banks of the Floating Harbour. It overlooks the SS Great Britain and is just around the corner from the Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge. Even better, it's a mile at most from the city centre.
There are fabulous Georgian terraces and squares, Victorian terraces and a few villas, as well as some high-quality, new build townhouses and apartment blocks. There are some modern developments on its lower levels, with a mix of townhouses and apartments.
There are a few local convenience stores, and neighbouring Clifton Village has a selection of boutiques, cafes, restaurants and mini supermarkets. The Triangle is also nearby via Jacob's Wells Road.
If you work in or around the city centre, you can take the Bristol Ferry, which also goes to Temple Meads.
For travel beyond the city, The Portway (A4) takes you to the M5 (J18). Clifton Down station is also walkable.
