Horfield, like neighbouring Bishopston, surrounds Gloucester Road – one of the reasons for its popularity.
It borders Filton, Monks Park and Golden Hill to the west; Ashley Down and Lockleaze to the east.
Most streets are Victorian terraces, but there’s also a healthy mix of 1930s houses and modern, small developments. Flat conversions and apartments are available, too.
Horfield is a popular family area, but also attracts professionals and UWE students, thanks to its excellent local amenities and easy access to the city and commuter links.
The city centre is walkable. There's also direct and frequent public transport. There are trains from Montpelier station to Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway. The M32 is easily accessed. Gloucester Road North leads to many major employers and the Almonsbury Interchange. – see Filton, Bradley Stoke.
