Blaise is a small area near Henbury, Hallen and Coombe Dingle. If you look it up, the first thing you’re likely to come across is an eighteenth century castle. It also has a Grade II listed mansion house, which is now a museum with beautiful grounds (650 acres), overlooking a gorge. It’s open to the public and is a popular walking site for all the family, as well as lots of dogs.
There are, however, some slightly more modest homes in the area surrounding the estate, which constitutes the area called Blaise. There’s a mix of substantial detached property, all individual. There are also some small developments of modern homes and a few low level, purpose-built apartment blocks.
Local amenities are available at Westbury-on-Trym and Shirehampton. Blaise has good access to the city centre via public transport – Falcondale Road (A4018) is the primary route. You can also travel out to the M5 this way, passing the nearby Mall at Cribbs Causeway.
