201 Gloucester Road, Bishopston Bristol BS7 8BG
Ashley Down borders Bishopston, Horfield and St. Werburghs (so you can easily take a stroll around the allotments and city farm). In recent years, it's become an extremely popular area, partly because of its excellent schools. It's also perfectly positioned near the local delights of Gloucester Road and benefits from easy access to both the city centre and all major travel links - see Bishopston.
Ashley Down has a vibrant mix of young professionals, families and a small student population.
Many of the two-bedroom period houses in the predominantly Victorian terraced streets have been extended with loft conversions. There's also a number of large, detached villas on and around Ashley Down Road.
There are also modern townhouses of all sizes following the development of the old Bristol College buildings. Beautiful apartments are available in the recently-converted Muller House, a former grand old orphanage dating from 1849, and the adjacent developments.
