Clapton-in-Gordano is a village on the outskirts of Portishead. It’s on the southern side of the Gordano Valley, adjacent to the M5, and has a population of about 350.
It has individual cottages and houses, many stone built. Clapton Moor is nearby, 40 hectares of grassland owned and managed by the Avon Wildlife Trust.
A car is necessary in Clapton-in-Gordano, but there's then easy access to the local amenities in Portishead and Bristol, via motorway links or the A369.
