The Chessels is a very popular area of Bedminster that runs from the mid-section of Luckwell Road to West Street. Its main road is Chessel Street.
Chessel Street has a number of roads on either side named after gemstones, including Ruby Street, Pearl Street, Beryl Road, Jasper Street and Garnet Street. At the West Street end, Chessel Street turns off into British Road.
You'll find Victorian two-bedroom houses, many now with loft conversions. It's an easy stroll to the excellent shops and restaurants of North Street.
