We have really enjoyed living in this house. We consider bungalows to be a really underrated house type as living all on one floor is really easy and the layout for this house in particular offers a very light and spacious feel. As a detached house it has been fantastic for socialising and privacy. We have really enjoyed the extensive views from the living room across to Pill each day and as they change with the seasons and this could be exploited even further if you were to extend into the large loft space.
The large garden is wonderful and as a South facing corner plot we have really been able to take full advantage of the privacy, space and different views that it provides.
Its position in Shirehampton Village has provided us with all the local amenities we have needed. It also offers regular public transport links, is easily accessible to the M5/M4 interchange and it's just a few minute's stroll to Kingsweston House & woodlands.
This detached home of circa 1280 sq ft is set on a generous corner plot in an elevated position and has light and spacious rooms.
There are two entry points, all the accommodation is on one level so it allows for a flexible layout. There is a large loft space which, subject to obtaining the relevant consents, is ripe for conversion. It would provide multiple rooms and would significantly increase the overall size of this already large home. It would also further enhance the existing views towards Pill
The house has a large entrance hall with parquet flooring.
The layout works well with living rooms at one end, and bedrooms at the other.
Due to the size of the hall and being just off the lounge & kitchen, it would make a great home working space or play area.
The lounge is dual aspect, so has plenty of natural light, and has exposed wooden floorboards. There is a log burner set into the chimney breast which is a lovely feature in this room.
The kitchen/dining space has an industrial feel to it and can be easily re-configured due to there being freestanding kitchen units, a double sink set within a stainless steel unit, exposed and wall mounted pipework and a concrete floor.
There is room here for a breakfast bar.
There are three generous sized double bedrooms. All have exposed floorboards and windows that overlook the gardens.
Two of the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes/storage creating potential for an en-suite to be easily added.
There is a fully tiled wet room, with a separate wc.
Because of its position on the road and its corner plot setting, there is always sunshine throughout the day due its southerly aspect. There are some incredible views over Shirehampton and towards Pill.
Outside, there is plenty of garden space so there are a number of different areas to enjoy. There is a large lawned area which is surrounded by lots of very mature fruit trees & bushes that include cherry, plum and apple. A large bed of wild strawberries have been planted by the kitchen door.
Tucked away behind the double garage is a private patio area and is a great place to sit and enjoy the sunshine as well as the rest of the garden area.
The drive can provide potential parking for 2 cars and there is a double garage that has an electric door.
This property would suit someone looking for something a little different to the norm - something that can be extended and developed to suit their own needs, whilst having a large garden, plenty of parking and generous sized rooms.
The property benefits from its close proximity to the local village where you will find local shops, cafés,
GP surgery and bus stop which lead into Cribbs Causeway and City Centre. Also close by you have Shirehampton train station and the junctions for the M5 and M4.
Just a short walk from the property is Kings Weston House and Blaise Castle surrounded by beautiful woodlands offering scenic walks.
