Patchway is just off Gloucester Road North. It's beside Cribbs Causeway and Charlton Hayes, near Bradley Stoke and Stoke Gifford. Patchway used to be a small village centred on the common.

Commuting to the city is direct by car or public transport. The city centre is around six miles south. The Almondsbury Interchange, linking the M5 and M4, is moments away and the M32 is also easily accessible. For trains, Bristol Parkway is a mile or so away at Stoke Gifford.

During the 1930s, new housing was built on Patchway Estate, just north of Filton Aerodrome, and bungalows were also built on Stoke Lane.

Patchway has some local amenities. Cribbs Causeway is a short drive away, a retail and leisure complex with over 130 shops in the Mall. The Venue has a multi-screen cinema, bowling alley, gym and restaurants, and a retail park. At Cribbs you'll find national chains such as Wagamamma and TGI Fridays as well as Soho House's Mollie's Motel and Diner.
